On Wednesday, September 7th, Martin County Middle School held their first Fun With Family event called "Muffins With Mom". Mothers and their children enjoyed a variety of delicious bakery style muffins while playing games and learning about the new MCMS vision and ways to achievement. Moms also learned about upcoming school events, CIA ( Cardinals in Action) team, MCMS reading program, how to become involved in the CHIRP( Community Helping Improve Reading Proficiency) team, and more. Community guests Robin Thompson from the Martin County Health Department spoke on upcoming programs and services offered by the MCHD. Also, Vicki Cline from Martin County Adult Education spoke to moms about how their program can support mothers wanting to pursue further education. Martin County Middle School would like to thank everyone who made this event a great success and is looking forward to the next Fun With Family event scheduled for November.
